When should I include my risky jumps in my competition program? That's easy: Never! If you want to win with risky jumps you are kidding yourself; you don't win on your butt. You need to make a competent impression; that means doing the best you can with what you have. If that isn't good enough to win, you aren't going to improve matters by sprinkling it with falls or fakes. But you can at least make a decent impression at your current level, the start of a reputation for competence...that works better than a reputation for incompetence!
